Anderson residents injured in motorcycle accident on 59

Two Anderson residents were injured in a one-vehicle accident 10:15 p.m. Saturday on MO 59 one mile north of Goodman.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2005 Honda VT750 motorcycle driven by Michael D. Ritchie, 32, Anderson, traveled off the right edge of the roadway, caught the edge of the roadway as it tried to return and began skidding.

The vehicle overturned on its left side and began skidding down the highway.

Ritchie was treated for serious injuries and a passenger, Heidi R. Huckeba, 24, Anderson, for moderate injuries at Freeman West Hospital, Joplin.
