(From the Carl Junction Schools)Big congratulations to our Carl Junction High School choir students! Recently, 26 students auditioned for the 2024 Southwest District Honor Choir, and we are proud to announce that 17 of them were selected!
Students faced a two-part audition that included a prepared piece, melodic & harmonic sightreading, and key signature recognition—way to go, CJ choir!
9th/10th Grade Honor Choir:
Aaden Botzow, Eddie Blackwell, Brooklyn Johnson, MeKennah Kellison, Tyson Rogers, Kylee Sheward, Slyder Sundy, and Emma White.
11th/12th Grade Honor Choir:
Cooper Anderson, Macie Cory, Via Dennis, Emily Lee, Lexi Lee, Natasha Roth, Alex Teeter, Matt Tegge, and Abbey Thompson.
These talented students will perform at Joplin High School on October 26th. Juniors and seniors will also have the chance to audition for the All-State Choir! Best of luck to everyone!
