A Carthage man was injured in a two-vehicle accident 7:55 a.m. today on MO 96 a mile and a half east of Carthage.
According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2021 Freightliner Cascadia driven by a 58-year-old LaRussell woman was stopped in traffic waiting to make a left turn when a 2017 Ford F150 driven by an 18-year-old Carthage man partially traveled off the roadway to avoid the Freightliner and struck its towed unit.
The Carthage man was airlifted to Mercy Springfield with serious injuries.
