Route 160 Bridge over North Fork Spring River in Barton County to be closed

Route 160 Bridge Over North Fork Spring River in Barton Co. CLOSED Beginning Sept. 29

Contractor crews are set to CLOSE the U.S. Route160 bridge over North Fork Spring River north of Golden City Monday-Wednesday, September 29-October 1 to resurface and repair the bridge, the Missouri Department of Transportation said.








Traffic Impacts

Route 160 CLOSED over North Fork Spring River between Barton County Route VV and Southeast 45th Road beginning at 6 a.m., Monday, September 29 and reopening to traffic on Wednesday, October 1

Drivers will have access to driveways and entrances on either side of the bridge, but will not be able to travel over the bridge

No signed detours

Drivers should seek alternate routes

Signs and message boards will alert drivers to the closure

Check MoDOT’s Traveler Information Map for road closings/traffic impacts

Weather and/or construction delays could alter the work schedule.








The bridge was built in 1928. Approximately 1,200 vehicles cross the bridge daily.

This work is part of a larger project to resurface and improve sections of Route 160 and Missouri Route 97 in Barton, Dade and Lawrence counties. For more information, go to the project website here.
