Three injured in two-vehicle accident near Carthage

Three people were injured in a two-vehicle accident 12:15 p.m. Sunday on Route E. two miles east of Carthage

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2002 Toyota Camry driven by Geraldine Stemmons, 76, LaRussell, had slowed because of an object in the road when a 1974 Ford F-100 driven by Victoria I. Still, 48, Carthage, failed to slow in time and rear-ended it.

Still, Stemmons, and a passenger in the Stemmons vehicle, 75, all suffered minor injuries. Still was treated at Freeman West Hospital, Joplin, while the other two were treated at Mercy McCune-Brooks Hospital, Carthage.
