Three injured in two-vehicle crash near Seneca

Three people were injured in a two-vehicle crash 3:20 p.m. today on U. S. 60 one mile east of Seneca.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2000 Pontiac Grand Am driven by Kathy L. Kay, 51, Seneca, had slowed in traffic waiting to make a left turn when it was struck in the rear by a 2006 Toyota 4-Runner driven by Joel M. Wallsmith, 44, Carthage.

Kay and two passengers in her car, Justin P. Hines, 33, Seneca, and Jordan C. Johnson, 11, Seneca, were taken to Freeman West Hospital, Joplin, with minor injuries.
