The Joplin Fire Department responded to a passer-by reported structure fire at 2308 S Murphy Ave, at 2:58 PM, Monday, 04 May, 2015.
Fire crews arrived on the scene at 3:04 PM to find a single family dwelling with smoke emitting from one side. Crews declared the fire under control at 3:21 PM and out at 3:32 PM. Crews remain on scene until 4:15 PM.
Ownership information is unavailable at this time. No one was in the structure at the time of the fire.
No injuries were reported to either fire personnel or others in the area. Five Joplin fire units and 17 Joplin Fire personnel responded as well as JPD and METS.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Fire Marshal.
