Two Joplin men injured in car-tree collision near Carthage

Two Joplin men were injured in a one-vehicle accident 9:55 a.m. Thursday on County Road 120, two miles east of Carthage.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2004 Buick Century driven by Paul O. Sanchez Pena, 22, Joplin, ran off the roadway and struck trees.

Pena and a passenger, Francisco A. Gallegos, 22, Joplin, were treated for moderate injuries  Gallegos at Mercy McCune-Brooks Hospital, Carthage, and Pena at Freeman West Hospital, Joplin.
