New four-way stop coming at 160 and 43 near Seneca

(From MODOT)

New 4-Way Stop Coming for U.S. Route 60 &
Missouri Route 43 Near Seneca

Newton County - Drivers traveling through U.S. Route 60 and Missouri Route 43 near Seneca will experience a new traffic configuration beginning in early July, the Missouri Department of Transportation said.
On Tuesday, July 7, MoDOT crews will install a four-way flashing red signal and stop signs with at the intersection indicating all traffic must come to a stop before proceeding through the intersection. The new signal replaces the current one with flashing yellow for Route 60 and flashing red for Route 43.
The change means that Route 60 traffic MUST NOW STOP at Route 43.
In addition, signs warning Route 60 traffic of the approaching stop ahead will be installed and the speed limit through the area will be reduced to 55 mph.
Message boards alerting drivers to the signal installation will go up Monday, June 22.
Weather and/or construction delays will alter the work schedule.
