The City of Joplin will host a Ribbon Cutting for the Joplin Skatepark at 1 p.m., Wednesday, June 10 at Ewert Park, located just north of 7th Street on School Avenue. City officials held a groundbreaking ceremony on April 6 this year, and are excited to open this new park in Joplin.
American Ramp Company, contractor for the park, will be on site to highlight some of the features included in the community’s first skatepark. The four zone skatepark provides access for multiple users and welcomes all ages and skill levels. During the event, skaters will be enjoying the Skatepark to show the versatility of these areas.
In addition, ARC will provide details on a Grand Opening event to be held on Saturday, June 20.
Parking for the Skatepark is available at 5th and School Avenues.
