Joplin man cited for DWI after accident near Carthage

A Joplin man was charged with driving while intoxicated following a one-vehicle accident 8:30 p.m. Monday on South Garrison, two miles north of Carthage.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 1989 Chevrolet Corvette driven by Cameron J. Simmons, 26, Joplin, ran off the roadway on a curve and struck several trees.

Simmons was treated for serious injuries at Mercy Hospital, Joplin.

  1. South Garrison two miles North of Carthage? I saw police had someone pulled over around that time on South Garrison two miles South of Carthage :-)
