The Joplin Fire Department responded to a reported structure fire at 3220 N Industrial Rd (Eagle Picher) at 2:46 AM. Tuesday, 18 August, 2015. Fire crews arrived on the scene to find an unoccupied maintenance add-on room with smoke and flames visible. Crews extinguished the fire in the maintenance room and an adjacent room.
The fire was declared under control at 3:16 AM and crews remained on scene until 5:45 AM.
The maintenance room was vacant at the time of the fire.
No injuries were reported to either fire personnel or others in the area. Six Joplin fire units and 13 Joplin Fire personnel responded as well as JPD and METS.
The cause of the fire is remains under investigation
