A Seneca man was charged with felony driving while intoxicated following a one-vehicle accident 11:19 p.m. Sunday on U. S. 60, two miles east of Seneca.
According to the Highway Patrol report, Terry J. Boyer, 32, Seneca, lost control of a 2000 Polaris ATV and overturned.
Boyer was treated for moderate injuries at Mercy Hospital, Joplin.
In addition to DWI, Boyer was charged with driving while revoked, careless and imprudent driving resulting in an accident, unlawfully operating an ATV on the highway, and failing to obtain a certificate of ownership for an ATV.
I don’t know why so many people don’t even think about their career and future before doing drunk driving. When I was working with a DUI lawyer, I have seen so many lives getting ruined and government spending so much on awareness campaigns, still people don’t learn anything.
