Joplin residents, Seneca woman injured in head-on collision on Coyote Road

Three people were injured in a head-on collision 5:13 p.m. Wednesday on Coyote Road, a quarter of a mile south of Joplin.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2001 Kia Optima driven by Robyn R. King, 32, Seneca, crossed the center line and struck a 2000 Chevrolet 1500 driven by Kimberly D. Harvey, 49, Joplin, head on. A 2003 Nissan Altima driven by Theresa D. Burrell, 55, Joplin, struck the Harvey vehicle in the rear.

King was airlifted to Columbia Regional Hospital with serious injuries. Harvey was treated for moderate injuries at Freeman West Hospital and Burrell was treated for moderate injuries at Mercy Hospital, Joplin.
