Three people were injured in a two-vehicle accident 11:20 a.m. today on U. S. 71 at Squirrel Lake in Jane.
According to the Highway Patrol report, 2001 Ford Taurus driven by Patty Vannostrand, 84, Bella Vista, Arkansas, pulled into the path of a 2001 Ford Taurus driven by Earl W. Betts, 48, Bella Vista and was struck.
Betts and a passenger, Amy L. Betts, 46, Bella Vista, were treated for moderate injuries at Mercy Hospital, Bella Vista. Vannostrand was treated for serious injuries at Freeman West Hospital, Joplin.
