The Highway Patrol arrested a Joplin teen on multiple charges following a one-vehicle accident 9:39 a.m. today on I-44 in Joplin.
According to the Patrol report, a 2005 Chrysler 300 driven by Russell C. Hurtt, 19, Joplin, ran off the left side of the roadway and struck a curb and an electric support.post.
Hurtt, who was treated for minor injuries at Mercy Hospital, Joplin, was arrested on charges of misdemeanor avoiding arrest by fleeing, speeding, careless and imprudent driving involving an accident, no driver's license, failure to register motor vehicle, displaying the plates of another, no insurance, and possession of marijuana.
