A Carl Junction teen was injured in a one-vehicle accident 11:55 p.m. Monday on MO 171, one-tenth of a mile north of Airport Drive.
According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2000 Ford Explorer driven by Sunsoorae Whitney, 17, Carl Junction, swerved to miss an animal in the road, overturned and ran off the roadway.
Whitney was treated for minor injuries at Freeman West Hospital, Joplin.
