Two Missouri Southern State University Lions have returned to campus to fill key positions.
Chelsea Conley, top, has accepted the position of Director of Donor Relations with the Missouri Southern Foundation. In her position, she will be in charge of stewardship and event planning for university donors.
Conley, who graduated from MSSU in ’15 with a Bachelor of Science in Education, formerly served as the executive director of Art Feeds Carthage.
“I am thrilled to be back at Missouri Southern,” she said. “I enjoyed my time here as a student and am anxious to see what the future holds.”
Conley replaces Dr. Delores Honey, who has retired after more than 35 years at Missouri Southern. Her career at the university included teaching in the School of Business and serving as Director of Assessment and Institutional Research and, for the last four years, Director of Donor Relations.
Brett Meeker has joined the university as Director of Concurrent Enrollment, overseeing the dual-credit partnership with area high schools.
Meeker graduated from MSSU in 2001 with a Bachelor of Science in Education. She obtained her juris doctor from the University of Missouri in ‘04 and spent 12 years with the Missouri State Public Defender System’s trial office in Carthage, Mo.
“I am very excited to return to Missouri Southern,” she said. “I have always enjoyed working with high-school students and this position gives me an excellent opportunity to share all the wonderful opportunities this university has to offer.”
Meeker replaces Julie Wengert, who recently accepted the position of Dean of Student Success and Support at Missouri Southern.
