Two Joplin residents were injured in a one-vehicle accident 10:15 p.m. Saturday on Fountain Road, four miles west of Joplin.
According to the Highway Patrol report, a deer ran into the left side of a 2013 Yamaha motorcycle driven by Zachary S. Hitchcock, 22, Joplin, The motorcycle slid off the road and ended up in a ditch.
Hitchcock and a passenger, Mickie S. Hitchcock, 42, Joplin, were treated for moderate injuries at Mercy Hospital, Joplin.
