Crowder College weekly update

Academics
·         Programs currently accepting application for Fall 2017 include:

Athletics
·         The Roughrider Basketball team will host a 1st round game of the Region 16 Tournament Tuesday, Feb. 28, 7pm vs. Jefferson. Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for students. The Crowder Foundation has graciously agreed to cover the cost for all Crowder students to attend. A win would advance the team to play on Friday, March 3, at Lincoln University. ·         The Roughrider Softball team is 8-2 on the season.  Their home opener is Tuesday, Feb. 28 at 2pm followed by home games Thursday, March 2, & Saturday, March 4, 2pm & noon respectively. For a complete schedule go to: http://crowderathletics.com/sports/sball/2016-17/schedule
·         The Roughrider Baseball team is now 11-4 on the season. They will play at Neosho County Tuesday, Feb. 28 at 1pm, at State Fair on Thursday, March 2, at home on Saturday, March 41pm. For a complete schedule go to: http://crowderathletics.com/sports/bsb/2016-17/schedule
·         The Roughrider Soccer team will host the 35th Annual Thunderdome tournament, March 10-11. This is an indoor soccer tournament and fundraiser for the team. Registration is open now: BradSmith@Crowder.edu or 417.455.5443.

Campus Events
·         Resume’ and Cover Letter Workshops on Neosho campus:
o   March 1, 3-4pm in McDonald Hall Room 220

Community Events
·         SoftStitchers Quilt Show, March 2-5 in Wright Conference Center. Quilt entries accepted Mon.-Tues., Feb. 27-28 from 10am-1pm. The Show will run Thurs-Sat., March 2-4, 10am-4pm and Sun., March 5 from 1-3pm.
·         Crowder College Theatre presents Lessons in Folklore, with two shows March 11, 10am or 2pm. Tickets available at the door. For more information email: Theatre@Crowder.edu
·         The Friends of the Lee Library are currently taking donations of books for the Used Book Sale that will take place April 11-13, Wright Conference Center (Room C). If you have books you would like to donate please contact the Library at: 417.455.5610.
·         Crowder Community Choir is open to community member who love to sing. They are in need of bass singers, but welcome anyone. Rehearsal is on Mondays at 7pm in the Elsie Plaster Community Center. Spring performance will be early April. ·         Crowder College Foundation Scholarships for 2017-18 applications available. Priority deadline is April 1.
·         Upcoming events include:
