Cell phone causes accident injuring Neosho, Fairview women

Two people were injured in a two-vehicle accident 9:30 a.m. today on Highway HH, one mile east of Neosho.

According to the Highway Patrol report, Katherine S. Ross, 57, Neosho, driving a 2011 Chevrolet HHR, was distracted by a cell phone and crossed into the left lane and struck a 2002 Toyota Tundra driven by Leryan R. Tevebaugh, 33, Fairview. Both vehicles traveled off the left side of the roadway and overturned.

Ross and Tevebaugh were treated for minor injuries at Freeman Neosho.
