METS employee recognized for training work with Joplin Police Department

(From the Joplin Police Department)

This morning Chief Matt Stewart recognized Scott Keats with Metro Emergency Transport System for medical training he has provided to officers in our department along with Sgt Wolf.

The value of the training came to light in March when one of our officers used the skills he learned to provide life saving care to Jasper County Deputy Nolan Murray, who had been shot.

Our officers have also used the learned skills to aid citizens who were in need of immediate emergency care in life threatening situations. Keats was presented the Chief's Achievement Coin.

We appreciate our partnerships with other agencies with a common goal of service to the public.
