Niagara Falls man injured after running stop sign, getting hit by Joplin driver on I-49

A Niagara Falls, New York man was injured in a two-vehicle accident 6 p.m. Sunday on Business Loop I-49, one mile south of Joplin.

According to the Highway Patrol report, an eastbound 2003 Chevrolet Envoy driven by Peter R. Lejeune, 29, Niagara Falls, failed to stop at a stop sign and was struck by a 2014 Dodge Ram truck driven by Steven S. Harrison, 42, Joplin. The Lejeune vehicle overturned and came to rest off the roadway.

Lejeune was treated for minor injuries at Mercy Hospital, Joplin.
