Road closures planned next week for Jackson Avenue from 16th to 19th

Sprouls Construction will workings on Jackson Ave at 16th Street and continue south to 19th Street beginning Monday 17th of July and will do road closure for these 3 blocks for 3 weeks to 1 month.

Also, they will be starting on 17th street at Jackson Ave and continuing east to Pearl avenue later next week and will do road closure for these 4 blocks for 3 weeks to 1 month.

Sprouls plans on having 15th street back open and most of 18th street open next week except for section between Joplin & Wall where they are waiting on gas line to be lowered.

They will still be working on 19th street so it is still closed.

The closures are due to the Surface Project 4005 which includes the replacement of damaged sidewalks, curb & gutters, storm water inlets & pipes, ADA ramps at corners, and street pavement. The work will be completed from Jackson Avenue to Main Street and from 15th to 19th Street.

Drivers are urged to use alternate routes and proceed with caution at intersections.
