Rocky Comfort woman cited for DWI, meth possession, in crash that injures her, Joplin man

A Rocky Comfort woman was charged with driving while intoxicated following a one-vehicle accident 9 p.m. Monday on Highway E, five miles south of Powell.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2013 Toyota Tacoma driven by Heather A. Eastburn, 47, Rocky Comfort, ran off the right side of the roadway, struck the embankment, overturned, and came to rest on its side.

A passenger, Troy A. Tygart, 47, Joplin, was treated for moderate injuries at Freeman West Hospital, Joplin.

Eastburn, who was treated for serious injuries at Mercy Hospital, Joplin, was also charged with felony possession of methamphetamine and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.
