Jasper Police arrest cursing Lamar woman for disorderly conduct, Lamar man arrested on felony warrant

(From the Jasper Police Department)

On Tuesday, Novemeber 7th, 2017 at around 12:15 pm, a Jasper officer initiated a traffic stop near Mercer and 6th St. (Vehicle pulled into the Dollar General lot) on a maroon 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix.

Contact was made with the driver, Beth Harper (Lamar), the front passenger, Twila Snodgrass (Lamar), and the back passenger who gave the name of “Ethan Gragg” (Lamar). He stated he did not know his Social Security number. “Ethan” gave a date of birth advising he was born in 1995..... But stated he was 20 years old.

The officer got a “hunch” that somebody was not telling the truth. This officer isn’t really great at math, but he was able to determine that if he was born in 1995, “Ethan” would be 22 years old and not 20, and also, who doesn’t know their Social Security number at 20 years old?

After further questioning and finding a wallet under the passenger seat that had “Ethan’s” picture on a driver’s license, it was determined that “Ethan” was actually “Joshua”. Joshua Gragg was arrested on a felony probation & parole warrant and a warrant out of Lamar Police Department.

During the course of the traffic stop, Beth Harper became uncooperative, and began cursing in a loud and aggressive voice towards officers. Due to customers of Dollar General being subjected to this disorderly behavior, Harper was arrested for disorderly conduct. Both Harper and Gragg were taken to jail.
