Three people, including Carl Junction teen, injured in three-vehicle accident on 66

Three people were injured in a three-vehicle accident 10:29 a.m. Friday on MO 66, one mile west of Joplin on Central City Road.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2007 Nissan Frontier driven by Margaret T. Creech, 18, Carl Junction, was southbound on Central City Road, crossed westbound MO 66 and failed to yield to eastbound traffic, striking a 2000 Saturn LSI driven by Randall R. McCall, 66, Overland Park, on the passenger side, causing the McCall vehicle to skid and hit a 1998 Chrysler Concord driven by Corey A. Tucker, 38, Ottawa, Kansas.

McCall and a passenger in his vehicle, Michael R. Walker, 74, Pittsburg, Kansas, were treated for moderate injuries at Mercy Hospital, Joplin.

Creech was treated for minor injuries at Mercy.
