Joplin ROTC students visit Jefferson City

(From Rep. Bill White, R-Joplin)

State Rep. Bill White hosted 52 Joplin students from the Junior Reserve Officers’ Training Corps on March 6, 2018.

During their visit, the JROTC students sat in on the House of Representatives floor debate, toured the Senate Chambers and the Capitol Building, and met with their respective Representatives and Senator.

“Designed to impart an understanding of citizenship, instill a sense of personal responsibility, and underscore the value of service to country and society, JROTC is an excellent program for young men and women who are interested in a career serving their country in any capacity. I am honored to host these forward-thinking and accomplished students, and I enjoy the opportunity to discuss the legislative process with our future leaders,” commented Rep. White, R-Joplin.
