Carthage residents injured in two-vehicle collision in Everton

Two Carthage residents were injured in a two-vehicle collision 12:15 p.m. Sunday on Route M at Route K in Everton.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2000 Ford Taurus driven by Carol J. Pendergrass, 77, Everton while attempting to make a left turn, pulled into the path of a 2018 Special Trike driven by Gary L. Lee, 66, Carthage.







The Lee vehicle struck the Pendergrass vehicle broadside and both vehicles traveled off the east side of the roadway.

Lee and a passenger on his vehicle, Debra A. Lee, 66, Carthage, were treated for moderate injuries at Cox South Hospital, Springfield.
