(From Carl Junction Schools)Senior Hailey Koester's charcoal drawing, Moving Forward has been very well received in a number of competitions this spring:
1. Merit award in the Juried Exhibition for High School Art & Design Students, hosted virtually by Missouri State University Art + Design Department.
2. Central Ozark Conference 2D best of Show award and 1st place in Charcoal Drawing category.
3. Most recently, her work was announced as the 1st Place recipient of the 7th Congressional District's Congressional Art Competition! Her work will be going to Washington D.C. for one year and she will receive a $500.00 bank card from Central Bank along with a certificate from Congressman Billy Long and tickets to Wonders of Wildlife in Springfield.
