Various Routes in Southwest Missouri Scheduled for Pavement Improvements Beginning the Week of May 24
A project to add a high-friction pavement treatment to selected curves on various routes in Newton, Polk, Stone, Webster, Greene and Christian counties is scheduled the week of May 24, the Missouri Department of Transportation said.
Short sections of road will receive a special pavement treatment to help improve traction at curves.
Here’s a look at the project:
Beginning week of May 24:
I-49 northbound and southbound lanes west of Neosho between mile markers 29.2 and 30.4 and mile markers 20.7 and 21.3
Drivers should expect traffic delays and lane closings
At least one lane of traffic will be open at all times in both directions
Dates to be announced:
Missouri Route 76 at Missouri Route 376 west of Branson
Polk County Route H between Missouri Route 215 and Greene County Route CC south of Pleasant Hope
Webster County Route KK at Route PP west of Fordland
Christian County Route NN just south of U.S. Route 60 east of Springfield

Greene County Route O at Route HH east of Willard
Truesdell Corporation Midwest of Jefferson City will be doing the work for a low bid amount of $1.3 million.
The I-49 work west of Neosho is scheduled for completion by late June.
