Seneca residents injured in four-vehicle accident on I-44

Three people were injured in a four-vehicle accident 2:35 p.m. Saturday on I-44, four miles west of Halltown.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2018 Dodge Journey driven by Colton J. Bryant, 24, Seneca, failed to slow for stopped traffic and struck a 2016 Nissan Rogue driven by Achyut Paudel, 30, St. Louis, forcing the Paudel vehicle into the median cable.








The Bryant vehicle continued eastbound hitting a 2019 Chevrolet Impala driven by Ronald L. Bain, 50, Gentry, and a 2017 Honda CRV driven by Orelbic M. Elivo Lopez, 55, Joplin.

Bryant and a passenger in his vehicle, Emily A. Steele, 23, Seneca, were treated for minor and moderate injuries, respectively, at Freeman West Hospital, Joplin.

A passenger in the Paudel vehicle, Ichchha Sharma, 29, St. Louis, was treated for moderate injuries at Mercy Hospital, Springfield.
