Lamar woman charged with assault following stabbing after car accident

On 05/15/21, Lamar police officers were dispatched to a disturbance on College St here in Lamar. 

When they arrived, officers found there had been an argument over a motor vehicle accident. Officers also discovered that during the argument the reported driver stabbed another person in the neck.

 

The victim was transported to a Springfield hospital for non-life threatening injuries. 

Rosie K Pitts, 46 of Lamar Mo, was formally charged through the Barton County Prosecutor's office with 1st degree assault and is currently being held at the Vernon County jail in lieu of $250,000 bond.
