Two people were injured in a one-vehicle accident 5:30 p.m. Wednesday on I-49, two miles north of Carthage.
According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2009 Chevrolet Impala driven by Leah M. Benner, 34, Pittsburg, Kansas, left the roadway and struck several trees.
Benner was treated for moderate injuries at Mercy Hospital, Joplin.
A passenger, Christopher J. Dunn, 36, Springfield, was treated for minor injuries at Mercy McCune-Brooks Hospital, Carthage.
