Joplin, Liberal residents injured in collision on 43

Three people were injured in a two-vehicle accident 4 p.m. Thursday on MO 43 at Southeast Street east of Carl Junction.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 1991 Ford LN8000 driven by Lester O. Dingman, 69, Liberal, hydroplaned, crossed the center of the roadway and struck a 2010 Chevrolet Avalanche driven by Larry S. Newton, 49, Joplin.







Newton and a passenger in his vehicle, Rhonda G. Newton, 60, Joplin, were treated for moderate injuries at Mercy Hospital, Joplin.

Dingman was treated for minor injuries at Mercy.
