Wyandotte man killed, Joplin woman injured in three-vehicle accident on 43


A Wyandotte, Oklahoma man was killed and a Joplin woman injured in a three-vehicle accident 4:15 p.m. Friday on MO 43, five miles north of Seneca.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2009 GMC Denali driven by Rachel J. Ezell, 27, Joplin, was stopped in traffic to make a left turn when it was rear-ended by a 2019 Ford F150 driven by William S. Browne, 55, Wyandotte.








The Browne vehicle crossed the center line and struck a 2008 Hyundai Santa Fe driven by Ernest R. Perez, 76, Parsons, Kansas.

Newton County Coroner Dale Owen pronounced Browne dead at the scene at 4:31 p.m.

Ezell was treated for minor injuries at Mercy Hospital, Joplin.
