The fifth annual Missouri Southern Shootout is planned for Saturday, Mar. 5 at Missouri Southern State University. Flights are scheduled from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Leggett and Platt Athletic Center and Young Gymnasium.The shootout is in conjunction with the Missouri National Archery in the Schools Program, which includes more than 250,000 students in grades 4-12.
An awards ceremony will take place after the final flight, where a $1,000 scholarship will be awarded to the top overall male and female archers. Medals will be awarded to top finishers in the bullseye and 3D competitions, as well as trophies to the top three teams in each division.
The Missouri Southern Shootout with be the final opportunity for archers and teams to qualify for the MoNASP state tournament, planned for Mar. 17-19 in Branson.
Admission is $4 for adults, $2 for students, and free for children 6 and under. Concessions will be available. Both are cash only.
