Five people injured in collision northeast of Lamar

Five people were injured in a two-vehicle collision 3:20 p.m. today on Highway C, nine miles northeast of Lamar.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2006 Dodge Ram 1500 driven by Colby V. Wells, 44, Jerico Springs, failed to yield to a 2005 Dodge Caravan driven by Christina M. Herring, 37, Aurora.








Herring and a passenger in her vehicle, a 16-year-old Aurora girl were treated for minor injuries at Mercy Joplin.

Two other passengers in the Herring vehicle, Leroy B. Edward, 34, and a 6-year-old boy, both of Aurora, were treated for minor injuries at Cox Barton County Hospital, Lamar.

Wells was treated for moderate injuries at Cox Barton County Hospital.
