Joplin woman injured in three-vehicle accident on Black Cat Road at 20th Street

A Joplin woman was injured in a three-vehicle accident 4 p.m. Friday on Black Cat Road at 20th Street in Joplin.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2016 Chrysler 200 driven by Stephanie L. Vanderpas, 52, Joplin, and was struck by a 2015 Freightliner Cascadia driven by Selman M. Jama, 29, Columbus, Ohio, which failed to yield.








The Vanderpas vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway and struck a 2007 Jeep Wrangler driven by Hunter H. Endicott, 21, Joplin, which traveled off the right side of the roadway and hit a road sign.

The Jama vehicle traveled off the roadway, struck a fire hydrant and went into a ditch.

Vanderpas was treated for moderate injuries at Freeman West Hospital, Joplin.
