An Oronogo man was injured in a one-vehicle accident 5:42 a.m. today on MO 43, 10 miles north of Joplin.
According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2002 Volkswagen Beetle driven by Zachary S. Barlett, 31, Oronogo, went on a gravel shoulder causing Barlett to lose control.
The vehicle skidded back onto the roadway, slid off the left side, struck an embankment and overturned.
Barlett was treated for serious injuries at Mercy Joplin.
