(From the Webb City R-7 Schools Foundation)The Webb City R-7 Schools Foundation is pleased to announce that our Honors Banquet will be held on Tuesday, March 15, 2022 at the Webb City High School Dome.
Doors will open at 6:30, with dinner at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are $25.00 each and may be purchased at the Webb City R-7 School District Administration Building, located at 411 N. Madison, Webb City or by contacting Kelli Frazier at (417) 673-6000.
The Foundation will be honoring Pam Drake as the 2022 Distinguished Citizen. Pam was born and raised in Webb City, MO to the late Don and Jenell Roderique. She attended school in Webb City, St. Peter’s in Joplin and graduated from McAuley Catholic High School in Joplin.
Pam started her career at Roderique Insurance in 1980 during the summer before her senior year of high school. In 1989, she went on to purchase the agency from her mother. Roderique Insurance celebrated 75 years in 2021 and remains a fixture in the heart of downtown Webb City.
Pam married David Drake in 1986 and together they have three children: Brittany Drake Claborn, Brayden Drake (Kandace) and Patrick Drake (Rachelle). They have five grandchildren: Drake and Bree Claborn and Blakely, Decker and Dayson Drake.
Pam is an active member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, where she has served as Eucharistic Minister, Parish Council member and PCCW member. Pam has also served as a board member for the Webb City Chamber of Commerce and the WCHS Athletic Booster Club. Currently, she is a business partner with Webb City Cares and serves on the selection committee for the Webb City Athletic Hall of Fame.
In addition to the Distinguished Citizen, the Foundation will also be celebrating the 2022 Foundation Staff Grant recipients and six (6) Pillars of Education: Bobbie Dykens, Claudia Allen, Sharon Lewis, Vernon Williams, Larry Kamler and Beverly Jones.
