A St. Paul, Minnesota man was injured in a two-vehicle accident 3:40 p.m. Thursday on Old 66 Boulevard two miles west of Carthage.
According to the Highway Patrol report, 2010 Chevrolet Malibu driven by Dominic B. Garcia, 22, Joplin, pulled into the path of a 2019 Indian MC driven by Joel R. Bitzan, 45, St. Paul. The Bitzan vehicle went off the right side of the roadway, overturned, struck a mailbox and came to rest in the ditch.
Bitzan was treated for serious injuries at Mercy Joplin.
