Badge-pinning ceremony held for new Joplin police officers

(From the Joplin Police Department)

On Monday afternoon the Joplin Police Department held a badge pinning ceremony to recognize several officers in the department who have graduated field training and also those who have received recent promotions.

Eight officers graduated from training and are now serving the citizens of Joplin as Police Officers.

They are Officer Jason Allman, Officer Kory Blevins, Officer Stetcyn Cornelius, Officer Dustin Mitchell, and Officer Jocelyn Murphy, Officer Tiffany Osborne, Officer Maggie Smith, and Officer Zachery Wald.

In addition to their badge pinning, these officers were also presented individualized bibles from our JPD Chaplains who’s also prayed for protection and safety over them for their careers.

The Joplin Police Department also recognized three officers who were recently promoted. They are Corporal Jeremy Eads, Corporal Andrew Moreno, and Corporal Mackenzie Roach.

We are proud to recognize these officers, celebrate their accomplishments and we wish them the best as they move forward into their next assignments. Please join us in congratulating them on a job well done.
