Missouri Southern graduate receives promotion at Highway Patrol Troop G

Captain Bruce D. Fiske, commanding officer of Troop G, Willow Springs, announces the following Troop G promotions effective December 1, 2023.

Corporal Christopher A. Kimes (picturedB will be promoted to the rank of Sergeant and designated the zone supervisor of Zone 4, Northern Howell and Shannon counties. Kimes was appointed to the Patrol on January 7, 2007, as a member of the 86th Recruit Class. 









After graduating the Patrol’s Law Enforcement Academy, he was assigned to Troop I, Zone 7, Dent County, where he served until transferring to Troop G, on September 1, 2010. In Troop G, he was assigned to Zone 7, Southern Howell and Oregon counties. 

On June 1, 2022, Kimes was promoted to the rank of Corporal and designated the assistant zone supervisor of Zone 4, Northern Howell and Shannon counties. Sergeant Kimes is a native of West Plains, Missouri, and a graduate of West Plains High School. He holds a bachelor's degree in criminal justice from Missouri Southern State University, Joplin, Missouri. Sergeant Kimes is married and has two children.








Trooper Dakota L. Nash will be promoted to the rank of Corporal and designated the assistant zone supervisor of Zone 7, Southern Howell and Oregon counties. Trooper Nash was appointed to the Patrol on July 1, 2015, as a member of the 101st Recruit Class. After graduating from the Patrol's Law Enforcement Academy, he was assigned to Troop G, Zone 6, Southern Howell and Oregon counties. On May 1, 2018, Nash transferred to Zone 5, Douglas and Ozark counties. Corporal Nash is a native of Gainesville, Missouri, and a graduate of Gainesville High School. He holds a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from College of the Ozarks in Point Lookout, Missouri. He is married to Whitney (Taylor) Nash and has three children.
