(From the Jasper Police Department)On Monday, November 27th, 2023 at 8:15 pm, Jasper PD Sgt. Amber Ashby stopped a black GMC truck on NB I-49 at the Thorn Road exit.
A report was given by a witness that the above vehicle was observed driving northbound in the southbound lane of I-49. Many other traffic violations were observed by the witness as well as Sgt. Ashby.
Contact was made with the driver, Christine Dhar (Joplin). Signs of driving while intoxicated was observed.
After being taken into the custody for probable cause DWI, Dhar showed to have BAC of more than 3 times the legal limit.
Dhar was charged with DWI and other traffic offenses.
Dhar is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
