A Joplin man was cited for driving while intoxicated following a one-vehicle accident 6:10 p.m. Thursday on MO 43 at Route BB six miles north of Seneca.
According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2000 Chrysler Sebring driven by Cody L. Hess, 30, Joplin, traveled off the left side of the road, struck a culvert and a road embankment and overturned.
Hess, who was also cited on felony no driver's license, failure to drive on the right half of the roadway and for not wearing a seat belt, was treated for serious injuries at Freeman West Hospital, Joplin.
