Five people were injured in a two-vehicle collision 8:42 a.m. today on Route M three miles south of Jasper.
According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2015 Subaru Legacy driven by Trenton D. Smith, 23, Carl Junction, failed to yield and pulled into the path of a 2019 Chevrolet Traverse driven by Ricky B. Robinson, 55, Springfield.
After the impact, the Robinson vehicle traveled off the north side of the roadway and overturned.
A passenger in the Robinson vehicle, a 13-year-old Springfield boy, was airlifted to Cox South Hospital, Springfield, with serious injuries.
Robinson and two other passengers in his vehicle, Rylee M. Robinson, 18, and Cheryl L. Robinson, 52, both of Springfield, were treated for serious injuries at Mercy Joplin.
Smith was treated for minor injuries at Freeman West Hospital, Joplin.
