(From the Redings Mill Fire Protection District)The Redings Mill Fire Protection District recently received grant funding in the amount of $11,703.60.
The grant was supplied by the Newton County Public Safety Board.
Ten ballistic protective vests have been purchased with this funding in order to provide improved protection for our personnel during responses to violent events.
Redings Mill firefighters have spent the last year training alongside area law enforcement agencies to be better trained and prepared for such emergencies throughout Newton and Jasper County.
