A Southwest City man was cited for driving while intoxicated following a one-vehicle accident 7 p.m. Saturday on MO 90, one mile west of Noel.
According to the Highway Patrol report, a 1998 Chevrolet S-10 driven by Martin R. Rodriguez, 56, Southwest City, traveled off the right side of the roadway, overcorrected, traveled off the left side of the roadway, struck a ditch and overturned.
Rodriguez, who was also cited for driving while suspended, failing to drive on the right half of the roadway and for not wearing a seat belt, was treated for serious injuries at Freeman West Hospital, Joplin.
