A Columbus, Ohio, couple were injured in a motorcycle accident 8:53 p.m. Monday on I-44 six miles west of Sarcoxie.
According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2013 Harley Davidson driven by Maurice L. Cox, 44, was in the passing lane when a tractor-trailer changed lanes forcing the motorcycle off the roadway into the median. The motorcycle struck the median cable and both the driver and a passenger, Tina W. Cox, 43, were ejected.
Maurice Cox, who had minor injuries, refused treatment. Tina Cox was treated for serious injuries at Freeman West Hospital, Joplin.
